About The Bridge

Years ago, our Executive Director William Harrison had a vision to help men who were recently released and to give them a place of hope. As a former returning citizen himself, he understood the difficulties a man faces when he is released from prison and how challenging it can be to re-enter society.

The Bridge is a Christ-centered transition home dedicated to helping men rebuild their lives after incarceration. We provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where residents can begin again with dignity and hope. Our ministry was founded on the belief that every man deserves a second chance. We walk alongside each resident as they navigate the challenges of re-entry, offering guidance, accountability, and encouragement. We partner with local churches, volunteers, and community organizations to ensure that each resident receives the spiritual, emotional, and practical support needed for long-term success. The Bridge is more than a program—it is a family. We strive to create a community where men can heal, grow, and discover their God-given purpose.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge the gap between incarceration and successful reintegration. We provide a structured environment that promotes spiritual growth, personal responsibility, and healthy relationships.

We believe transformation happens through discipleship, mentorship, and community. Our team works closely with each resident to help them develop the skills and habits needed for a stable and productive life.

We aim to break cycles of addiction, homelessness, and recidivism by offering hope and practical tools for change. Through faith-based teaching and consistent support, we help men build a strong foundation for the future.

Ultimately, our mission is to see lives restored, families reunited, and communities strengthened through the power of God’s grace.

Programs & Services

Our programs are designed to address the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of men transitioning out of prison. We offer daily Bible studies, mentorship, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

Residents participate in life-skills training that covers budgeting, communication, conflict resolution, and personal responsibility. These skills help prepare them for independent living.

We also provide job readiness support, including resume building, interview preparation, and connections with local employers who believe in second chances.

Recovery support is available for residents overcoming addiction. Through accountability groups and counseling partnerships, we help men pursue lasting freedom.

Life at The Bridge

Daily life at The Bridge is structured to promote stability, discipline, and growth. Residents follow a consistent schedule that includes devotionals, chores, classes, and personal development time.

Community is a core part of our ministry. Residents share meals, attend church together, and participate in group activities that build trust and brotherhood.

Each resident works with a mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and accountability. These relationships often continue long after a resident completes the program.

We celebrate milestones such as employment, sobriety anniversaries, and program completion. These moments remind our residents that progress is possible and that they are not alone.
